“Are you ok?”

Nao and Saga found themselves at a bar. It was the drummer that had asked the bassist out for a drink. Surely the bassist would not want to be alone on this sad day. It was February 16th, 2010. A year had already passed by since the death of Miura, Cho. The world was moving on. Even Saga seemed a lot better. Sure, he hadn’t been all smiles, but he hadn’t been all gloomy either, which Nao thought was a rather good thing. Nao had learnt the fact that Saga had indeed read some from Cho’s diary, but it seemed like it had only done him well.

Saga shrugged his shoulders. “I guess I’m ok,” he said. “Even on this sad day.” Nao placed a hand on his shoulder. “If you need to talk, you can talk to me,” he said. Saga sighed at that: “But there isn’t really anything to talk about. It’s over and gone.” There was a silence that followed, but Nao spoke with his sad eyes on Saga: “You loved her, didn’t you?” The saying made only Saga sigh and nod: “I guess I kind of did.”

There was a thick silence that followed with only the surrounding sounds as their company. None of them said a word, only drank their glasses of beer. As Nao finished his glass, he spoke once more: “Are you sure you’re ok?” It made Saga smile. “I told you already: I guess I’m ok,” he said before he continued: “But I’m happy you asked me out for a drink today especially.” “Why?” Nao wondered. “Well, even if I’m starting to think it’s ok, I still get so sad sometimes. Sometimes I miss her so, so much, which is kind of strange, because I never really saw her in real life even,” Saga explained. “It’s not strange to miss someone you care about,” Nao said. Saga smiled: “Thanks.”

And so they drank and chatted, having a good time. They reminisced about the old times and joked about what was yet to happen. In the end Saga barely noticed what date it was, just as Cho would have wanted it.

Author's note:
And that concludes my first and only ever finished fanfiction.
It was actually finished many, many, many months ago, I just didn't post it here on livejournal. I've decided to kind of give this livejournal a bit of a rebirth, so let's see how that goes.
